ITW Announces Conference Call Information For 2008 Second Quarter Earnings

Glenview, Illinois – June 25, 2008

Illinois Tool Works Inc. (NYSE:ITW) today announced that it will hold its 2008 second quarter conference call on Thursday, July 17, 2008. The conference call will begin at 1 p.m. central time and will follow the Company's release of second quarter earnings at 7 a.m. central time on that same day.

The conference call can be accessed by dialing 312-470-0008. The pass code ITW is necessary to join the call. Participants are asked to dial in 15 minutes prior to the start of the call.
